OUR VISION:
Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15)

We believe the ‘world’ starts the moment you step outside your door. We help support Missions in over 100 countries in the world, as well as local mission outreaches. Our largest Mission prayer focus is the 10-40 Window, where 95% of the unreached people groups live. God has sent us here, along with you, for such a time as this, to reach the unreached and tell the untold of His great love, mercy and grace.

We believe that Jesus is the Head and we are the Body. We are to use all the parts of the Body to reach out to the lost, the hurting, the bruised, the battered and those held captive in the kingdom of darkness, and bring them the Good News of Jesus the Christ that will set them free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36).

Our Vision is to raise up a generation of Believers who operate in their authority, obtained at Calvary, through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and reaching out in the Love of God to bring the message to this world. John 10:10 tell us that the thief comes to steal, to kill and to destroy, but Jesus has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Our Vision is for everyone to use their Authority to live in Victory in Jesus.


WHAT WE BELIEVE:
The Godhead:Our God is One, manifested in three persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Phil.2:6; Mt. 3:16-17)

Eternal Life and New Birth: The new birth is necessary to all men, and when fulfilled produces eternal life subsequent to the new birth. (2Cor.7:10; 1John5:12; John 3:3-5) This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. (Mt.3:11; John14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:4)

Divine Healing: Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and it is the privilege of every member of the Church today. (Mark 16:18; Jas.5:14-20; 1Peter 2:24; Mt. 8:17; Isaiah 53:4-5)

Communion: The Lord’s Supper: We partake of the Lord’s Supper to show forth the Lord’s death till He comes (1.Cor 11:23-31). The Bread symbolizes the Lord’s broken body. (Is. 53:5; 1Cor. 11:24) The Cup represents the New Covenant in His Blood which provides our forgiveness and relationship with God. (Heb. 9; 1Cor. 11:25)

Leadership:
Reverend Sue Strachan Dishongh is an ordained Ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Rev. Dishongh was ordained by Rev. John H. Osteen, Lakewood Church, Houston, Texas, where she and her late husband, Rev. Alex Strachan were Youth Pastors and served on the administrative staff. They moved to New York City in 1981 as corporate executives. In 1993, God called them to establish a church and International Teaching and Healing Ministry based in northwestern Connecticut, teaching the non-compromised Word of God, bringing healing to the whole person: spirit, soul and body. Following Pastor Alex's graduation to Heaven in 2003, Pastor Sue relocated to Tennessee, where she continues the original vision and calling from the Lord.  She is married to Jerfferson B. Dishongh, who is a lay-minister with Knox Fellowship International.

Word First Ministries is committed to:

• Teaching and training people to answer God's call upon their lives;

• Bringing the Good New of God's plans, purposes and provisions to the local community and throughout the world in reaching the unreached and telling the untold of His Great Love, Mercy and Grace;

• Reaching out to the world in love and bringing hope and healing to a lost, hurt and wounded generation through the Lord of Jesus Christ.

Word First Ministries was founded on Proverbs 4:20-22, emphasizing the importance and necessity of putting God's Word First Place in life!
